      <image:title>Om Bjørne - Et kappløp mot “hva”? (1987-2013)</image:title>
      <image:caption>Det var vinteren 2013 at livet for alvor begynte for min del. Jeg var i slutten av tyveårene, jobbet som management konsulent, trente til Oslo maraton og forsøkte å skrive bok om ting jeg ikke brydde meg om. Livet var med andre ord i overkant travelt. På toppen av det hele, forsøkte jeg samtidig og være en god kjæreste og samboer, men timene strakk virkelig ikke til. Jeg var på jakt etter den perfekte CV-en, og gjorde bare ting som jeg trodde ville få meg til å “lykkes”. Jeg fikk i denne perioden kyssesyken, levde med høyt stressnivå, og turte ikke å ta grep om ting som måtte endres i livet mitt.       <image:title>Om Bjørne - Krisen begynner (2013-2014)</image:title>
      <image:caption>Vinteren 2013 fikk jeg kyssesyken etter å ha presset kroppen gjennom en siste innlevering på jobben. Det ble et par uker i sengen, før jeg returnerte til jobb. Men jeg følte meg aldri helt som meg selv igjen. Det jeg ikke visste da, var at dette var starten på en lang krise. Jeg måtte sykemelde meg 50% fra jobben, på grunn av stress og bekymring. Jeg visste ikke lenger hva jeg skulle gjøre for å få tilbake energien min, og begynte jakten på å få tilbake helsen min, finne mening og retningen fremover. Jeg manglet derimot det viktigste: selvinnsikt og mot til å ta gode valg for meg selv. Jeg hadde sjelden lyttet til mine behov, og jeg var fanget i frykt, angst og stress.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Om Bjørne - En reise rundt jorden for å “finne meg selv” (2014)</image:title>
      <image:caption>Den eneste løsningen jeg så var å ta tre måneders permisjon fra jobben, og dra på en “finne-meg-selv-tur” rundt jorden, helt alene. Turen min skulle starte i Peru og Amazonas-jungelen, hvor jeg skulle tilbringe en uke på et senter som holder Ayahuasca-seremonier. Jeg hadde et håp om en rask og enkel løsning på mine utfordringer, og håpet at det gamle ritualet fra jungelen ville vise meg svaret på livets gåter. Da jeg kom hjem til Norge høsten 2014, var jeg bare mer forvirret enn noen gang. I retrospekt var jeg ikke moden nok, eller kjent nok med meg selv til å klare å bruke denne turen til noe fornuftig. Jeg returnerte full av frykt og angst, og etter to uker tilbake på jobb og mitt første panikkanfall, ble jeg nødt til å ringe familien min og be om å få dra hjem til dem. Jeg hadde aldri kjent på motgang før i mitt liv, og hadde ingen verktøy for å jobbe med disse utfordringene. Jeg følte meg redd og dro den dagen fra jobben som 100% sykemeldt. Da jeg kom hjem til foreldrene mine, la jeg meg ned i sengen, skrudde av lyset, og der ble jeg liggende i over ett år.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Jeg ble liggende i et mørkt rom hjemme hos foreldrene uten av stand til å ta vare på meg selv på grunn av stressrelaterte plager. Vi forsøkte alt mellom mulig for å få meg frisk igjen; fastleger, nevrologer og psykologer, healere, dietter og kosttilskudd. Vi brukte mange hundre tusen kroner på disse tiltakene, uten hell. Jeg følte det ikke var hjelp å få, og stresset og angsten førte meg så langt ned i kjelleren, at jeg på det verste ikke tålte og snakke med noen, høre lyder, og måtte tisse på flasker i sengen min, der jeg lå og ventet på et bedre liv. Jeg var blitt pleietrengende i en alder av 28 år.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>I desember 2015 skulle ting endelig snu for min del. Familien min hadde kommet over et kurs i mentale verktøy som het Lightning Process, som hjalp meg å se koblingen mellom kropp og hode, og at jeg kunne påvirke hvordan jeg hadde det ved hjelp av mentale verktøy. Etter tre dager på kurs var jeg for første gang på mange måneder ute blant folk igjen, og med dette begynte reisen tilbake til hverdagen. Jeg flyttet tilbake til Oslo i januar 2016, og fra den dagen av begynte jeg for første gang i livet mitt å designe hverdagen til slik jeg virkelig ønsket å leve. Jeg la fra meg gamle tanker om penger, suksess, CV og den perfekte karriere, og begynte å spørre meg selv hva jeg egentlig kunne tenke meg å bruke livet mitt på.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Siden 2016 har jeg brukt hver dag på å utvide verktøykassen min, og lære mer om kropp, hjerne og hvordan dette henger sammen. Min indre reise som jeg så vidt begynte på i desember 2015, var bare starten på en lang læringsprosess for min del. Siden den tid har tusenvis av timer med utforsking, bøker og kurs ført meg til et sted hvor jeg i dag underviser bedrifter og individer i hvordan de kan prestere bedre, håndtere stress og bli bedre mennesker - hjemme og på jobb. Mindfulness og de teknikkene det har gitt meg, har vært noe av det viktigste for at jeg i dag er på mitt absolutt høyeste nivå av helse og velvære. I mine foredrag og kurs benytter jeg mange verktøy fra forskningen på hvordan mindfulness påvirker kropp og hjerne, i tillegg til å trekke på andre disipliner som nevrovitenskap og psykologi.
